Yifan obtained his bachelor’s degree at University Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier in France, specialized in Mechanical and Production Engineering. Afterwards, he started his master’s degree in general engineering (Programming, electronics and mechanics) at an engineering school ESTIA. Throughout his master’s, he also carried out an apprenticeship as an R&D engineer in a medical device company. It is where he discovered his passion in the medical field. During the third year of the engineering school, he completed a double master’s degree in computer science at the Cranfield University, UK, which sparked his interest in computer science. He also had an experience as a software engineer in a software company. His scientific interest and curiosity nature led him to the Comm4CHILD project, in HörSys, Germany, where he will conduct research on cochlear implants with computational approaches and realize his PhD activity at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover (MHH), Germany.
