Dr Edward Killan is an Associate Professor in Audiology, and Audiological Science and Education Group Lead it the School of Medicine at the University of Leeds. Prior to this he worked as a senior clinical scientist (Audiology) at Bradford Royal Infirmary. Edward’s research interests include exploring cochlear implant outcomes in children and adults, working with colleagues at Yorkshire Auditory Implant service. The expertise that he brings to the ITN is an in-depth understanding of clinical audiology and quantitative measurement approaches for a range of outcomes relevant to hearing impaired children and their parents/carers.
Edward Killan is a supervisor of the research projects 11. Multilingual language and communication development and assessment of young deaf children: Implications for educational and clinical support and intervention and 12. Multimodal communication among deaf and hearing interactants in the presence of sensory and communication asymmetries.
